Connect with your inner artist through an interactive play reading of a new Australian play.
Panic Artist is a fresh, feminist, theatre-in-education play about a young woman making art out of the mess of emotions inside her. Panic Artist wrestles with the ups and downs of adolescence and mental health, shining a light on the importance of nurturing the inner artist within us all.
Through the City of Melbourne Biblitoeca Writing Residency, Lisette Drew has been developing this play for the stage.
Triple-threat performer Christie Whelan Browne will bring this play to life. During the reading, audience members are encouraged to create their own works of art inspired by the play, guided by Sheena Chundee, Artistic Director of Rebel Stepz Performing Arts.
Paper and coloured pencils will be provided. BYO art supplies are welcome.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of the very first audience of this new Australian play.
